“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”
My name is Thanyawan Eamsonthi. I am a service/ experience designer with a background of communication and social design. The above saying by Buckminster Fuller illustrates well of what I have come to believe after working to bring the important social issue into the attention of the people in Thailand for 3 years. My roles as a social marketing coordinator and a strategic content designer working to communication tools and campaign to support social enterprise, NGOs, and social organization’s work make me discover the key element of scaling for the better impact - go beyond creativity for the system change.
I am passionately curious about what drive people and how to orchestrate a better interaction and relationship using digital technology as a tool. The belief in the bottom-up solution influences my work to be revolving around the key theme of changing the expectation and demand of the contemporary consumer to pass pressure to services and products’ suppliers.
From 2016-2018, I was awarded under the Abraaj-RCA Innovation Scholarship to pursue my MA in Service Design at the Royal College of Art in London. I’m a passionate, flexible and self-motivated designer who systemically approaches problems with creativity. I am quietly adventurous and ready to take risks for the thing I believe in. I am based in Amsterdam, Netherlands at the moment but happy to relocate anywhere in the world where there’re exciting challenges for me to solve.
